Let’s face it. Many marriages get bad advertisement. The problem is not so much with compatibility as much as the health of the individuals involved.
Many couples would find tremendous growth in their marriage if they could find a way to raise the white flag, agree to be cordial, and do some deep heart searching and learning.
Discontentment Casts A Dark Shadow
Discontentment casts a dark shadow on everything and everyone around it. It causes the innocent to feel guilty, provokes the otherwise peaceful, and creates a tension that is utterly useless.
I have never met two people that have peace in their hearts that are at odds with one another for long periods of time.
Of course, there is normal, unavoidable conflict that may come up. But, all in all, two people that wake up full have a complete marriage.
Lay down your weapons. Stop accusing and start looking within. You will both find that your marriage has been chasing a rabbit of fighting and accusation that has no real end. Truly, godliness with contentment is great gain, especially in marriage.
