Our Trip to Belleville, Illinois – Faith Baptist Church

It was an honor to speak at the Faith Baptist Church in Belleville, IL this last Sunday. I am truly thankful for this ministry as this is the place God used for my family to come to Christ. We will be forever grateful for the ministry of Pastor Roger Scott Baker and the rest of the church.

Topics Covered

During the Sunday morning service, I spoke on marriage. I especially dealt with the content provided in the first and second chapter of our marriage book, How to Fight for Your Marriage Without Fighting with One Another.

The first two chapters of our marriage book specifically deal with the need for understanding God’s purpose for marriage and the need for two individuals to be filled with God before trying to fulfill the other person’s needs. As many of my readers know, I am a huge proponent of the fact that spiritually healthy people make up a healthy marriage.

My Parent’s 50th Anniversary

For the first time ever in over 20 years of preaching, I was blessed to be able to speak with my entire immediate family in the audience. This was certainly an honor and a very rare occasion to have all four of my parents children in the same place at the same time.

My family was all in town because we were celebrating my parent’s 50th year anniversary. We are very thankful for their faithfulness to the Lord and one another.
