We were very blessed to be a part of the Florida Shindig – 2017 this last week. A shout out to Butch Oxendine and his family for planning such an encouraging event.
50 Families From 19 States
You may be asking yourself, “What is a Shindig?” Simply put, it is a family camp inspired by No Greater Joy Ministries of Cane Creek, TN.
This particular Shindig was attended by over 50 families from 19 states and 2 countries. Some came from places as far as Arizona, Montana, and Canada.
An Absolute Honor
It was an honor to speak in the presence of Michael and Debbie Pearl. In fact, I quoted Michael Pearl on page 14 of our marriage book, How to Fight for Your Marriage Without Fighting With One Another.
As a young man in my 20’s, my wife and I cut our teeth on marriage and parenting material with their newsletter and other resources. To be able to speak over 20 years later in the same conference as the Pearls was a blessing.
